It’s Time for the Tampa Bay Theatre Festival!

Labor Day Weekend: Friday, September 1, 2023 through Sunday, September 3, 2023

Get ready for the 8th year of the Tampa Bay Theatre Festival! From September 1st through September 3rd, members of the Tampa Bay Area and communities abroad will experience a weekend filled with acting workshops, monologue and short-play competitions, full-length plays, social events, and a celebratory awards party. Local professionals including co-founder and producing artistic director of Jobsite Theater, David M. Jenkins and SAG actress and improv coach, Davina Reid are on board to teach this year’s festival workshops. Also, celebrity actor, writer, and producer, Harry Lennix, from The Blacklist, The Matrix Reloaded, Superman vs. Batman: Dawn of Justice, and the DC Comics’ character, Martian Manhunter will join this year’s festival to teach his powerful master class focused on scene work for both beginner and seasoned actors. All festival events will take place in the heart of Tampa at The Straz Center for the Performing Arts, HCC Studio and Mainstage Theaters, and Stageworks Theater.
