RICHARD JEWELL, is a Florida transplant from Detroit via Chicago. Trained at Jeff Daniel’s Purple Rose Theatre and at Michigan Actors Studio. Theatre credits include playing Scrooge in “A Christmas Carol”, Harold in “Orphan’s” and Nunzio in “Tony and Tina’s Wedding”. Film credits include “Season of Rage”, “Needlestick”, “Kill the Irishman”, and “Saugatuck Cures”. Television Pilots: “Land of The Outlaws” and “Prince of Motor City” along with national and local commercial appearances.

Richard has served as Faculty at Madonna University and Michigan Acting Studio where he taught Acting for Film and On Camera Performance. He has co-written two screen plays, served as co-producer for two films, and produced a successful Documentary Abound in Hope. Prior to becoming a full-time actor, he served many years as Criminal Investigator for the State of Michigan and as adjunct faculty for Michigan State University School of Criminal Justice.

Richard also served as the Academic Development Director for the Michigan Film Office. He has authored several successful grants in Film and Education and served on the National Media Arts Committee where he was one of the founding members who designed the K-12 benchmarks for Media Arts Education. He loves Tampa, is an avid golfer and can be found biking Bayshore Dr. almost daily.
