Grant for Artists Now Available Through Hillsborough County

Grant Overview

Tampa Bay Businesses for Culture & the Arts (TBBCA) welcomes qualified applicants to be considered for Hillsborough Artists Relief Program (HARP). Applicants must demonstrate urgent need for emergency funds due to the novel coronavirus crisis.

Goal: The intent for this fund is to provide financial assistance to Hillsborough County artists who are temporarily unable to meet their basic needs (General, including food, utilities, bills, childcare), Housing (rent, mortgage), Healthcare (insurance, medical bills)


  • Hillsborough County Resident
  • Adults (18 years and older)
  • Practicing artist in most artistic disciplines
  • Demonstrates financial assistance need
  • Legally able to receive taxable income in the U.S. (citizen, green card holder, and/or permanent
    resident who can provide a W9 and SSN or (TIN)

Amount: $500.00 in the form of an unrestricted grant (not a loan). No reporting requirements to TBBCA for award use.

Frequency and Speed: One time check to be distributed ASAP (First come First Funded) until program funding or need runs out.

Grant funds are dispensed at the discretion of TBBCA on a case by case basis. Screeners of applicants and of this application form are not social workers and do not act in that capacity. TBBCA is not responsible for any implications of taxes or otherwise resulting from the acceptance of these funds.
