Website: Nicole Estrella Wright
Hailing from Tallahasse, FL, Nicole Estrella Wright has been a student and passionate fan of the arts and music her entire life. Daughter of Gershwin virtuoso Tommie Wright and younger sibling to a full time voice teacher and a piano teacher, music is steeped in the family tradition. Even as a child, she was belting out “I Got Rhythm,” while her father jazzed up the Baldwin in their living room. Nicole attended Leon High Performing Arts school and graduated in 2005. She then studied at Florida State University where she received a Bachelors of Science degree. During what seemed like every second of her spare time, she focused on honing her performance skills in the strong Tallahassee community theatre scene. After graduating from FSU, her roles in the community theatre expanded to that of Choreographer, Fitness Trainer, and Director (Annie Get Your Gun),among other things. Following the 2011 season, Nicole decided that musical theatre was what she wanted to do the rest of her life, and decided to go back to school to perfect her abilities and networking skills. She recently graduated with a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre from Lees-McRae College, nestled in the well-cultured mountains of Western North Carolina. During her time at LMC she has taken on leading roles in multiple school productions, as well as in Lees-McRae Summer Theatre.
