Melissa Whitworth graduated from the Florida State University College of Music in 2013 and currently works as an actor/singer for Universal Studios Orlando. In the 2016-2017 season, she received a Broadway World nomination for her work as Thomas Jefferson in Mad Cow Theatre’s 1776 where she also played Olga in Chekhov’s Three Sisters. Also this season, Melissa performed at the Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre in Fort Myers both as the titular role in Mary Poppins and Karel in the two-hander musical Another Night Before Christmas. Other favorite credits include L’il Bit in How I Learned to Drive, Fiona in Shrek, and Elizabeth in Young Frankenstein. Mel also enjoys touring Yesterday Once More, a Karen Carpenter review created in partnership with music director, Philip King and writer, Ron Schneider.
