The story: Tosca and Cosmo have been married for thirty-five years, but all good things come to an end. Cosmo meets Deidre under the oddest of circumstances which leads to a series of curious discoveries and crossed paths. Kerwin meets up with Tosca after a long separation. Can he woo her? Can he overcome the shadow of a poet gone from her life? Can Ysabel give him the nudge to try? Out of the mouths of Poets explores love, redemption, and new found possibilities. This heartwarming romantic comedy will leave you feeling good and warmly entertained.

The play stars recognizable local talent, Roz Potenza, Larry Corwin, Suzy Duic, Owen Robertson all who have performed in multiple productions around Tampa Bay. Lab is also delighted to present Monica Tellez-Daly, making her professional debut at Lab.

Executive Director and Director, Owen Robertson, says about premiering a local playwright that “It fulfills an important part of our mandate, developing local talent.”

Tampa based-Lab Theater Project is a company focused on two fronts: the development of new works and the education of theater artists, both new and experienced. Lab’s focus on new playwrights stems from Mr. Robertson’s belief that “the path for new work is riddled with traps that prevent and discourage the new playwright; I aim to change that.”
