Audition Monologue Workshop with Angela Bond

TTB is proud to offer its second workshop of 2018.
In this Audition Monologue Workshop you’ll have the opportunity to work with accomplished professional actress, teacher and director Angela Bond in a small-group setting.
- Discover the elements of a successful audition monologue
- Get answers to your questions about finding a monologue and the audition process
- Work intensively on your prepared monologue(s) with attention paid to:
- Appropriateness of chosen monologue
- Presentation style
- Character choices
- Time limitations – get assistance with cutting your monologue if necessary
WHAT YOU NEED TO PREPARE
- One or two one-minute monologues – memorized.
- If you bring two monologues they should be contrasting (classical and contemporary, or comic and dramatic, etc.)
- Also – please bring your headshot and resume.
- Bottled water will be provided. Bring your personal lunch or snack if desired.

* When the twelve registrations are full, 5 standby registrations will be offered. Standby registrants will get to attend the workshop and observe, but they may not be able to work their monologues due to time constraints.
ANGELA BOND has spent over 30 years in professional theater as an actress, teacher and director. Acting credits include Eva in Evita (Sarasota Handy Award), Lilli/Kate in Kiss Me Kate (Sarasota Handy Award), Marie in Fiorello! (Sarasota Handy Nomination): Aretta Webb in the world premiere of Webb’s City: The Musical (Creative Loafing Best of the Bay Readers’ Choice).
Angela has performed starring roles at every professional theatre in Tampa Bay, and has also appeared on stages in New York City (including Broadway), Europe, and summer stock (with Barbara Eden, Loni Anderson and Jerome Hines). Film and TV credits include Free Ride with Anna Paquin, Revolution, Nashville and Sleepy Hollow.
As a director, her work has been seen at Studio@620, Suncoast Players, American Stage, St. Petersburg City Theatre and Stageworks. In addition, Angela has taught adult acting and teen musical theatre at American Stage and adult musical theatre at the Patel Conservatory.
A graduate of the theatre program at Rollins College, Angela studied with world-renowned acting teachers Eric Morris, Wynn Handman, and Michael Howard in NYC. She is a proud member Actors’ Equity Association and SAG-AFTRA, and a board member of the St. Petersburg Arts Alliance.

Becca McCoy is an actor / singer, and a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association and SAG-AFTRA. Becca’s credits run the gamut of comedies, dramas, musicals, and Shakespeare from theatres across the country. She has also appeared in films and commercials. She holds a BA in Theatre from Eckerd College, and a Certificate from the British American Drama Academy in England. She is a YoungArts alumnae in Theatre: Spoken and Musical, and a National Society of Arts and Letters national 3rd place winner in Musical Theatre. Becca has been seen nationwide in performances as “Brooke”, the working mom, in MOTHERHOOD THE MUSICAL, and “Earth Mother” and “Iowa Housewife” in MENOPAUSE THE MUSICAL, and is a popular cabaret artist and recording artist.
